If I could live in one decade and one place all my life, I would live on the Sunset Strip in 70's.

    • 10. Lights by Journey
Another great Journey tune, and yes, Aynsley Dunbar on the 'kit with 2002's! Just an amazingly intense tune!
    • 9. Smokin' by Boston
OK, I had to list one more Boston tune! This song was a musical journey for me as a kid, and still is--when I got it down on the drums, and heard it on Paistes instead of Zildjians as on the record, it was all the more intense with the better sounding bronze I have! Terriffic and a musical masterpiece!
    • 8. More Than A Feeling by Boston
I grew up knowing EVERY song in chronological order in my head on this album! I like ALL the songs equal, so I picked the most popular one from it. Great band, great tunes, great memories. No 2002's, all Zildjians here, but still great sound better than average for Zildjians! Classic '70's arena rock!
    • 7. Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me by Elton John
My second fave EJ song after 'Someone Saved My Life Tonight', and the intensity is the same, and the cymbal sound (2002's!) very much near the other song! The lyrics are great too!
    • 6. Jive Talkin' by Bee Gees
This one was THE song that got me into drums when I was a little tike! I LOVED that Hi Hat sound and the funky drum beat--and it still has that effect on me today! No 2002's, Zildjians, but stronger than usual for these--good sound! Great tune--great memories! I learned to actually play drums with this song!
    • 5. Listen To What The Man Said by Paul McCartney and Wings
I was hooked the minute I first heard this! My fave Wings song, and I always get that "old feeling" when I hear it. OK, no Paiste 2002's in this one--A Zildjians, not a good cymbal sound, but who cares?!
    • 4. One Of These Nights by The Eagles
I fell in love with this the day I first heard it as a kid! The way Don Henley plays those hi-hats--and sings too! Yup---he uses 2002's!
    • 3. The Boys Are Back In Town by Thin Lizzy
What a song! What a sound! JEEZ--seems nearly all of my top 10 favorite bands' drummers played 2002's! This one is no exception! Best of both worlds!
    • 2. Wheel In The Sky by Journey
AHHH JOURNEY!!! What can I say? and still jammin' today! This may be late '70's era (1978), but still classic '70's! My fave Journey song! Aynsley Dunbar played--you guessed it---2002 Paistes in this one too ironically! I still get excited when they play it live!
    • 1. Someone Saved My Life Tonight by Elton John
This is my fave song in the world---ever and ever more will be! 2 things I love about it--1, the words and Elton's amazing sound, and 2, as a drummer (well--till I ended up confined to a wheelchair anyway) I absolutely adore the cymbal sound--another classic from the Seventies--Paiste 2002 cymbals introduced in 1971! They have so much power and presence in this song, and mine sound exactly like these when I used to play this song! Just a terriffic tune and what memories!

I love 99% of the rock from the seventies. I like Captain& Tennille a lot---my first LP record actually! I collect light bulbs, and am now heavily into the bulbs I bought as a kid then---which are now vintage and sought after! I have a friend in California who also collects light bulbs and is into 70's bulbs above all others! I can remember lighting up those seventies bulbs as a kid while hearing tunes like above on the radio! I collect street lights too--and what else---the ;'60's thru late '70's mercury vapor fixtures I remember gawking at out the car window as a kid----these I seek, and have well over 100 of these big buggers now! They even have to sport the original era bulbs to satisfy me! The seventies was my childhood, and even the Christmas lights then available hold special memories for me, and are highly sought after! The seventies were the pinnacle era of history, now we're going downhill!

I still have all my 70's albums. It is too bad that radio has turned out the way it has. Remember the days when radio DJ's mattered. They would choose the music. CORPORATE RADIO RUINED EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!
