  • 1976 Montreal Olympics
The entire Olympics was an event; Bruce Jenner, Nadia Comenici (sp?), Sugar Ray Leonard, Edwin Moses and John Naber. Wow.

  • All In The Family
The episode when Edith died. At the end of the show Archie laid on the bed and the camera went down to the side of the bed, and there was Edith's house slippers. A very sad event that I'm sure touched many people.

  • All In the Family
Two events distinguish this classic series Carroll O'Connor and Jean Stapleton: The first toilet flush sound on T.V. and the delivery room childbirth of Mike and Gloria's son Joey.

  • All in the Family
In one word...."FLUSH". The first show that ever featured a flushing toilet. I think almost any episode of All in the Family is memorable. Edith and Menopause???

  • All in the Family
Another classic episode, that many people found shocking at the time, was the episode of "All in the Family" where Edith was nearly raped. Rape had really been a taboo subject in most of television up to that time.

  • All in the family
In my opinion the most emotional episode in television history: When Mike and Gloria move to California and Mike tells Archie he loves him,and hugs him. And after they're gone Archie sits in his chair, and weeps.

  • BATTLE OF THE NETWORK STARS
A GREAT WAY TO ENJOY WATCHING YOUR FAVORITE STARS FROM THE 3 MAJOR NETWORKS BATTLE THROUGH AN OPSTICAL COURSE, RELAY RACES AND TUG OF WAR! IT WAS THE BEST! TOO BAD TODAY'S STARS CAN'T COMPETE LIKE THAT!

  • Barney Miller
The tribute to Jack Soo (Sgt. Nick Yamana). They walk out of character at the end and toast Jack w/coffee.

  • the Brady Bunch
    Three words: "Oh, my nose!"

  • Good Times
The episode that guest "starred" Janet Jackson as the young girl who was physically abused. I'll always remember that one.

  • Good Times
when James is killed in a car accident in mississippi while the restof the family prepare to move from the ghetto to a better life.

  • Maude
Probably one of the most classic episodes of the 1970's is the episode of Maude where Maude had an abortion.

  • Soap
Nearly 21 years before all the uproar over Ellen "coming out of the closet" on her series, Jody Dallas (played by Billy Crystal) was the first gay character -- and a major one, at that -- in a television series.

  • Sunshine & Sunshine christmas
It's a movie about a young lady dying of cancer. She leaves behind a little child to be raised by the father. Most songs in the movies were written by John Denver like Lady, Country Roads, Sunshine, etc....

  • Taxi
September 1979: The classic scene of Jeff Conaway telling Christopher Lloyd to slow down at a yellow light.

  • The Tom Payne Show
When Tom gets injured trying to save his buddy in the Rio Grande.
