    • 2. Hotel California by The Eagles
The imagery and metaphor of the lyrics is amazing, as is the guitar. The version of this song on 'Hell Freezes Over' (live acoustic) is better than the studio version, in my opinion.
    • 1. Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin
It's like three songs in one... starts off slow and builds...

'Stairway To Heaven' is not only the best rock 'n roll song of the 70's... but of all-time!
    By: Jay Schwarz
    • 10. Touch Of Grey by Grateful Dead
      Best hippie anthem.

Third best UK band -- not a bad accomplishment though.

    • 2. Time by Pink Floyd
Second best band from UK -- next to Zep.
    • 1. Trampled Under Foot by Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin is the complete band -- the voice of Plant with the guitar of Page -- can't go wrong with that.

70's was best decade for music ever.

A real breakthrough for Goth and Metal music lovers. Totally Evil!
    • 2. Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin
From my favorite hard rock band. The song is a work of art from the greatist band of all time.
    • 1. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
The best song I've ever heard since childhood. The lyrics and the music are fantastic.

'Thunderstruck'(AC/DC) is one of the best but I guess it doesn't belong to 70's. I was born on 1979; I really can't figure it out. The Who's 'Teenage Wasteland' is a great song but it might be from the 60's. There are songs from Rolling Stones, The Doors and some other great bands. I love the 90's music but I do agree that it was because of the people from 60's & especially from the 70's that the 90's rock scene became so addictive. Keep Rocking!
