This was a menacing looking black plastic robot(TOBOR spelled backwards)that was controlled by a primitive remote control(basically a plastic clicker with a small piece of sheet metal in it). Click once & it would rotate, click a second time & it would proceed forward in whatever direction it was aiming. It came with black plastic a case that had a handle on top of it. The object was to scoop up the case with TOBOR's clawlike hand. After TOBOR latched onto the case, its arm would pop up to secure the catch. I believe it was made by Tomy around 1978.

loved it! I thought I was so cool. I remember the remote was a clicker that made it move forward or spin, by sound. We used to yell names at it to make it do the movements and one time my dad came into my room telling me to stop yelling out the window! He never believed we were just yelling at the Tobor, the robot spelled backwards.
