this was my favorite christmas gift as a kid. I got this and a Suzy homemaker dishwasher. Toy kitchens these days are only good for make believe. we could do that, but also, when mom or dad had time I could really make food and wash the dishes up afterwards. Too bad cooking and cleaning aren't so much fun anymore!

Thanks to my pack-rat dad, I still have the oven and washing machine today with the original boxes they came in. I played for hours with them. No wonder I have cooking and washing!

I still have a Suzy Homemaker washer, dryer, blander and iron that was just found in a storage area from 15 years ago. My mom saved everything from our childhood so maybe our children could use them, but my son has no interest in his mom's toys.

Hi All! I also had the set and have been looking for over a year for a working sink (LOVE to have the washing machine too!) but everything is make believe. I understand the liability with the oven but does anyone know why there are no working sinks??? Would any of you like to sell your working sink/dishwasher or washing machine or anything else that works!? THANKS! Lori LHougens1@aol.com

I had the oven and dishwasher. The turquoise color is what made me want it instead of the easybake oven. i used to "bake" saltines and they came out so warm and crispy. got bored with the dishwasher pretty fast as it was messy and not fun. didn't know there was a washing machine.

My Suzy Homemaker oven and Timey Tell doll were my favorites as a kid! I have spent hours searching for one because I could not remember who made it and kept coming up with just the ez bake oven. I am so excited I finally found it! What I liked most was it was just like a real oven. I spent so much time baking when I was a kid my parents probably got tired of all the "treats". Would love to find one with all the accessories! If you know of one you can email me at fornunya@yahoo.com and put suzy homemaker in the subject line please. If I don't know who they are from I delete.

Hi --I just purchased an oven from ebay but it did not come with instructions. I had one as a child but my father would not let me actually bake in it because of the light bulbs lol. does anyone know how to actually bake in it? Thanks

OMG! I was just thinking about wonderful Christmas memories in the late 60's and early 70's. I was a kid born in 1962 and gifts were so much more simple back then and we were so excited to receive them. This oven was my dream! I made my family have little cake parties (I'm sure they hated it). Then I got the blender, the dishwasher and the iron! I was happy! What kid now days would love to get an iron. Anyway.....those were the days!

I got a susie homemaker oven for Christmas when I was 10 years old, and ended up giving my Mother food poisoning when I made her breakfast in a cake pan I had not washed out. What did I know, I was only 10. Best gift I ever got, absolutely loved it.

I also have one of the Suzy Homemaker Oven that I got as a small child. Still works after all these years (45+). I pulled it out of storage last week and had a blast cooking with my grandchildren making cookies. What a blast they had and me!

I had the Suzy Homemaker Oven when I was six. It was great until I ran out of cake mix and my best friend and I decided to bake a "cake" made out of lotion and Nestle's Quik. We just wanted to see what the texture would be like. She accidentally knocked it over and the mess melted over the light bulb. I guess we were lucky it didn't short out and electrocute us, but of course we started arguing. My mother came to the door, shook her head and called us idiots. Nothing ever got the lotion-and-chocolate smell out of that oven.
