Me too!!! She was the most cutest doll ever. I got her for Christmas and treasured her from that moment on. Wish they made her today, but exactly like the original.

I got my rub a dub dolly when I was 3 years old and had her until I was 9 years old, after many baths her head fell off and her neck revealed rotting, awful smelling funk. I was DEVASTATED!! I took this doll everywhere. My parents got me a new one the following year, but she was not the same, the body had changed, and my heart wasn't into. This was the best doll ever.

I had a rub a dub doll that I received for Christmas when I was 2 years old and she went everywhere with me until I was at least 9 years old. I washed her hair and laid her on the radiator to dry. It melted and we had to cut it down to an afro, but int hat 70s that was still ok. I loved that doll and would love to find her...

I still have mine and forgot her name until now. I always wondered where her clothes went. All I have is a towel. LOL.

I can't remember how old I was when I got my rub a dub dolly (I called her Rubby), but I loved her and took her everywhere. She spent lots of time at the beach. Now that my daughter likes the bath and pool, I'm going to dig her out and see how she's held up now that I'm 38. I'm sure to still find sand in her joints. :)

If you k now of anyone looking for a vintage Rub A Dub Dolly in mint condition, I have one! She was given to me as a child, but I never played with her. She has original clothing including the plastic band around her hair. A picture can be provided. Leave a comment if interested, and I'll respond.

I still have my Rub a Dub Dolly & she's on display in my house...I got her from my aunt when I was 3 or 4. She had an arm missing & her hair was all knotted up, but I still played with her all the time! I even saved her from the garbage can cause my Mom tried to throw her away & I threw a fit & got her right back out. She was one of my favorite dolls! Her name was Ugly, probably cause that's what my family called her & the name stuck lol!

I loved my Rub a Dub doll. She was like my own child. She went everywhere with me and even had her own carseat. I was devastated when my mom put her in the washer while i was in school and she fell apart. I would love to have another one. My daughters baby pic looks just like her and would love to show her one day if im able to find the same one.

I saved my daughters rub-a-dub dolly from 1972! Now my 6 year old daughter loves her ... she is devastated because the head has come off and we can't make it stay on .... anyone know the secret to reattaching the head?

Loved my rub a dub dolly! She lasted through alot with me as a little girl, unfortunately she did not survive my boys. I dug her out for my 2yo daughter and it only took a few weeks for her older brother to decapitate her :(

Please confirm the doll from the early 70's came with a towel (for some reason I have two) and panties. Did she come with clothes? I pulled mine out for my 3 week old Grandaughter to play with someday and my Grandson lovers her.

Rub a dub dolly was a Christmas present for my daughter. She is now 42 yrs old. I saved this doll and gave to my granddaughter. She is 2 yr old and loves this doll. However the hair is so matted from washing and don't know how to repair. My daughter was delighted that I saved the doll.

I had given my 1973 Rub a Dub Dolly to my 3 year old daughter and she managed to break off her arm. I've been looking on the internet for how to possibly repair the joint. I'm guessing that it might be like repairing Barbie limbs? (I don't have experience in doing those repairs, but I'm guessing it might be similar). Does anyone know?
