Description
it was called the PHANTOM 5 HOVERCRAFT it had a base that was white or grey. the hover(one of those colors)was round and had a fan on the bottom. i think i remember it needing a lot of battery's in the base, it charged quickly and boy did it go. i wish i still had it and like everyone else i can't locate one anywhere. it' still a great memory.

I've been looking everywhere for a picture, but I think you're describing the hovercraft toy I had. The craft was a UFO-looking thing with a fan. The docking station had a cable (like a mini headphone jack) that charged the craft. Once charged, you turned the top and could launch it from the station. Mine worked for a few months, but the battery in the craft (a thin wafer battery) didn't charge so well after that. I always wanted a Galax IV, which was a Testors fuel-powered craft.

I too was looking for a long time for this and finally found it. Check for "Fantom 4" in 80's toys.
