Description
This thing was weird. I remember it was like a gun and you would shoot ghosts that were projected onto the walls. I never had this, but really wanted it.

I had one of these. I left it outside under a bush and some neighborhood kids apparently came along with a lit grille and burned it. It still worked but was singed. I know. Weird, useless story.

My son loved his ghost gun..I still have it but no film for it..I am wondering if someone has a new one or the parts for it..My two boys would shoot holes in those ghosts and just laugh and laugh..that was about 78 or there bouts.

One my favorite toys growing up. I remember painting the exterior with flames and other "cool" stuff after I ran out of tapes.

Does ANYONE know where to purchase a ghost gun, vintage or new? My brother had one ( early-mid 70's) My cousins and I loved it as much as he did. I have 4 sons of my own and would love to get one for them.

By far the COOLEST toy in the history of the world! I had 2 of them growing up. I laid waste to 1000's of ghosts & ghouls back in the day. I wish I still had one of them! I think it was made by a company called "ideal".... (are they still around???) If so, all of us Ghost Gun fans need to start writing & calling to have it reissued!!!!!! I swear I would buy several of them just because they were really that cool!!!!!

I agree with Mark Pulley. I am 42 years old. I think my two favorite toys of all time (as a boy in the 70's) was the Ghost Gun and the Ricochet Racers. I remember being a so excited when my dad put the batteries in the thing and I first projected those "ghots" on the white walls of my bedroom in the dark. The memory of that image is burned into my brain. Compared to video games of today, these things seem very dated, but I swear my young boys would LOVE this toy for its simplicity and fun. I wish someone would reissue something like it.

In addition, I think it was manufactured by "Hasbro." (If you are looking for one online, like on www.timewarptoys.com or ebay.
