My daughter had one of these, and I'm pretty sure the name is "Drowsy", not "Dowsy". m

According to my parents, my brother and I were in the camper of the truck on a road trip my Mother turned around to check on us to her horro I had a kitchen knife and was stabbing my Dowzy Doll to death. my brother was no where to be seen, Mom said he was hiding probably afraid he was next. Of course my Dad pulled over and I got spanked. That was the end of my serial killer career.

Omg! I got mine in 73 for Chrustmas. I loved that doll. Her head eventually fell off from so much playing. I carried her head on my fingers while sucking my thumb. My grandfather would tease me about it and drew makeup on her eyes. Wish I still had the head.

My little sister had a Drowsy Doll that she carried around constantly. Never put her down! She was filthy and her hair stood on end from being carried by the hair. "Santa" brought her a new one a few years later...hoping to toss the dirty old one. But my sister tossed the new one in the trash!!! I wanna find one for my sister's little granddaughter.

i had this as my first doll and I still have her but with abit of a hair cut and she doesn't talk anymore because my brother jumped on her when we were young. It brings back so many happy memories looking at the picture.
