Description
Three large stuffed dogs probably from around 1976 or 1977. They were sold separately, I had all 3. Clem was dressed in overalls and had a neckerchief, Clyde was wearing a vest and cowboy hat and Clara had red hair ribbons tied to her ears and a red and white checked dress.

How disappointing! My son just talked about his favorite friend Clem, that he had in 1975! Just by chance I goggled Clem, didn't know he had sis and a brother, but there is nothing here!! except it does incredible that someone else remembers, and that Clem has his own link. ANY information PLEASE!! he would fall over if Clem showed up for Xmas, where can I find him????????????
I found Clem and Clara when I was moving. I had no idea about Clyde though, I just thought that there were two. Little upset though because I can't find Clara's dress.
I am also searching for Clem! I've posted comments on dirtybutter.com and now have found this site. From the comments on dirtybutter I found out that Clem Clyde and Clara may have been prize giveaways at fairs and carnivals, however, I remember that Clem came from a Jewel Tea catalog sometime in the late 1970's. My daughter has my Clem that I got in the early 70's. I am ashamed to say that years ago before I got sentimental about things, I got rid of Clara and Clyde. I could kick myself. We found a miniature Clem online about 3 years ago and he was in excellent shape. Wish I could find the other 2. Clem was a Christmas gift. We didn't win him anywhere.
We had Clyde and Clem back in 1976 and we still have them today! albeit we had to get another Clem to replace the first one. Unfortunately we've never found a Clara.
Omg, yes, I am looking for Clem inthe overalls, just like the one I had as kid from a prize at a carnival. Mine was wearing denim overalls that said Clem on the front pocket. I had no idea there were 2 others.

Does anyone have a pic? Im looking for a stuffed dog from the 70s that sounds familiar to this..I dont know where my mom got it and she has since passed but i loved this dog so much that it was in a few xmas photos.

I have had Clem and cherished him all my life. I remember him coming with a small story book, but I get no result for it in my search.
I've had Clara for about 38 years! She's been through a lot and I am in the process of finding a toy hospital to fix her up. I'll try to submit a pic.
Clem was my best friend and traveled with me everywhere. I too still have him. I remember the little booklet and knowing about Clyde and Clara but sadly never found them anywhere.

Clem was my best friend when I was a little girl. I carried him everywhere until he was literally falling apart. My older sister took him and told me she was going to fix him and I never saw him again. :( Just thinking of how much I loved that toy dog makes me cry! Even though I am 44 years old now, I want another Clem.
I'm so happy to see so many people love their Clems as much as I love mine :) I got him when I was 2 or 3 and he shares the bed with my husband and e've traveled the country together and I even carried him with me running the Boston Marathon. Love my Clem!
Ebay had the Clem and Clara toys selling for $34 each in used condition. These were manufactured by Animal Fair from 1974 to 1978. Not heavily promoted (beyond department store catalogs) but had respectable sales.
I had all 3. Clem,, Clyde, Clara. When my dad remarried the new wife threw them out. I have been searching for all 3 ever since. This was not a start to a good relationship. Any ideas where I am able to find? Thank you.
I had Clem. He was from 1975. My parents bought him for me for my 9th birthday. I had him until this year when he was taken from me.

I had one from the 70’s I coulda swore his name was Klem not Clem and his ears were a sort of vinyl? Possibly a knock off?
Jamie: The Clem stuffed dog is orange, has blue overalls and red neckerchief. His ears are plush and orange. eBay has many stuffed dog toys. Specify Animal Fair, company that made Clem, plus Clyde, Clara and Henry dogs. You may find your match on eBay.
I've had my Clem since before I can remember. I was born in 73 so I assume I got him in 76ish. He has always been one of my most prized possessions.
