Description
yes I had a Busy Buzz Buzz in 1967 when I was five, I remember it was a bee shapped pen, and it was red, and the nose wigled as you drew, making spirograph type designs. I would love to see a picture if you ever find one........ Thanks Marc

Marc, the correct spelling is Bizzy Buzz Buzz, rather than Busy Buzz Buzz. You may find if you google that instead you can get more info. I submitted a picture of one I purchased from e-bay, it was brand new still in the box!

I can't believe it! I too had a Bizzy Buzz Buzz. It was one of my favorite toys - fond memories. Actually, my son, Buzz (13 yrs old) is nicknamed after it. I just showed him your picture. I've described it for years, but could not locate a photo. Thanks for the memories!

Does anyone remember the TV commercials for this toy? As kids we had a field day making fun of the dopey kid whose pronunciation sounded like "Biddy bahs bahs....."

This was one of my favorite toys of my childhood. I received one for Christmas in 1968 I think. My mother has a picture of me with this in front of the tree.

While I did have one of these, I didn't find it all that much fun. The wiggling of the pen didn't really do much other than make small loops. I preferred Spirograph's designs over this toy. I do admit, the design was cool.

I got a Bizzy Buzz Buzz for my 6th birthday in 1966. I took it to school for Show and Tell. As it was being passed around the class, a boy named Billy dropped it on the floor. It was given to the janitor to fix. It never buzzed again.

My boy scout troop traveled to Ft. Wayne, IN to be on the Laurel & Hardy Comedy Hour. They had a drawing for a magic set, which I didn't win, but I did win a Busy Buzz Buzz. I think I forgot to say thank you - must have been stage fright.

I used to hate the kid on the commercial, he had this whiney voice and I think he had a cold. Anyway, I still use the name, "Bizzy Buzz Buzz" to annoy people and I do imitate the kids voice. It's absolutely painful to hear it (that's why I use it :)

My mom bought this toy and wrapped it so I could give it to a kid at his birthday party when I was 4yo. I gave him the toy and he unwrapped it and put it to the side. I took the present and opened it and started playing with it. The kid saw me and wanted to play with it and I wouldn't let him. My mom took the toy away from me and I started to cry and we had to leave. I never got a Bizzy Buzz Buzz until today. 43 years later. lol I bought one off of ebay still in it's original box and in mint condition. That's a long time to be punished. haha Things are right with the world now.

I have one for sale if anyone is interested. I also have the original box and the pens that came with it, although I think the pens are dried up. I turned it on and it does work. Feel free to contact me at godsproperty000@comcast.net

I had one in the late sixties and enjoyed it immensely. Just yesterday I was trying to describe it to a young colleague (because to his day I still use 'bizzy buzz buzz' as an expression). She's very kind but had trouble hiding that look you give someone who's just gone insane. Glad to see people still remember the toy! :)

I had a Bizzy buzz Buzz when I was a little girl, and it was my favorite toy. I took it to school one day and lost it there. I have remembered it fondly ever since. I found a similar style pen on a business trip to London, UK, but it was not shaped like a bee. My kids have a riot with it.

I opened up a bizzy buzz buzz for christmas in the 60's it was of my all time favorite christmas toys . I was in an antique store today and bought one for ten dollars. I am so happy it brings back fond memories. But Should I open it up and get it working for my grandkids to enjoy or leave it in the box. I just don't know what to do.

I recieved mine for Christmas in the late 60's. Not sure what ever happened to it. I googled it, because I wasn't sure if it was really a toy or just my imagination.k

I remember that commercial, and how that kid said bizzy buzz buzz with kind of a lisp. We made fun of it by copying the way he said it. When our family was watching the Apollo astronaut Buzz Aldrin walk on the moon in 1969 my brother jumped up and said "bithy buth buth". I thought that was hysterical!

I got one of these toys in 1968, I was thirteen and it was the most disappointing Christmas gift I ever received. I begged my mom to take it back and buy me something that was more suitable to my age. She made me keep it and I got used to playing with it.

Busy Buzz Buzz, made by Ohio Art from 1966 to 1972. This toy was really intended for kids kindergarten to second grade. Sears Wishbook of 1969 listed it for three dollars. Ohio Art was another advertising miser in the early years. Commercials aired mainly on local or syndicated children's programs after school time.

I had a Bizzy Buzz Buzz pen as a child. I loved it and have thought of it off and on over the years. I can't believe I found it. I remember hiding under a table with it one night when relatives were over.

My brother and I were in grade school when this toy appeared on the scene and caused us more torment than we had already endured. Our last name was LaBuz. You can imagine how the other kids and some adults made fun of that!

I received my busy buzz buzz about 1970 for Christmas I enjoyed it and played with it all day long. Took it in for show and tell as well. They sure don't make fun toys like that anymore. Thank you for the busy buzz buzz

When I was in grade school I wanted a Spirograph for Christmas, and my parents gave me a Bizzy Buzz Buzz, a toy I hadn't known existed. I recall thinking it was the stupidest toy ever, but my mother was so pleased about getting it for me so I had to pretend that I liked it. I remember it was heavy and awkward to hold and when you flipped a switch it wiggled around and made a "loopy" line on a piece of paper. I used it a few times because I knew we didn't have much money and my parents thought they were getting me something nice. I made scribble marks on paper and wished I had a Spirograph. I'm glad that most people have fond memories of this toy. I don't know what happened to my Bizzy Buzz Buzz -- I hope it was given to a rummage sale, and ended up with someone who liked it.
