My Tiger's Milk story goes like this; My Mom and one of my Aunts were reading the writings of Adelle Davis, back in the early-mid 1950's. I don't remember which book they found the recipe in, however, the recipe goes something like this; (we'll start with the frozen orange juice); 1 small can, undiluted; back then there was only just homogenized (store) milk, powdered whole milk, or raw milk (from the cows @ home); liquid milk, 1 Qt FORTIFIED w/ 1-2 cups of powered milk; and (to start) 1-1/2 cups of powdered food yeast; and black strap molasses (to taste) This is so-o-o much the forerunner of Ensure much less any of the like which came before it; AND the (too) modern smoothies! I'm sure it is far cheaper, and is healthier because there are less (toxic) preservatives in it! My Goodness writing this makes me "homesick". Guess I go buy some milk and frozen oj!! So Sorry folks, this wasn't about the powdered stuff, once-I tried it, believe me, not the same as the original! Try the above-won't you?
