We used to take a handful of change to a local five and dime, "Dimeco", and come back with a white sack filled with "penny candy" (which was actually closer to 2-5 cents)and there among the booty was the king of penny candies... ZOTS! I don't know any child of the 70's who does not have great memories of these. Tart, sweet and intensly fizzy! Recently, my husband and I bought a large box of these and they were as good as we remembered.

I loved these!! I remember the sour Fizzy center. We would buy them attached together like a snake package. I miss our 7 eleven and all the penny candy on the bottom row....
