Yes, they still make RC! You can usually find it in beverage stores, atleast here in NY. Keep lookin'...it's out there!

Back in the early 70's it was the only cola we kids would buy. . I think a big part might have been that if you peeled back the cork on the inside of the cap you could win money. . I remember we would go down to the corner store on hot summer days and the black top tar parking lot would get soft enough so we could dig the RC caps out of it with are pocket knifes. of course when when we won we would buy more RC Cola with it.

It's still around. In North Carolina, it's remained available, especially in smaller towns. This is a southern classic.

This was also popular in Southern California. Seems the only soda my mom bought. I remember the RC Cola billboard typs adds at Sea World. I think I even have some old photos...great stuff.

Growing up in DC at 9yrs old, there was a summer commercial that showed teens laying on the beach with transistor radios playing "RC cools off the hot town" the camera cuts to a Santa Monica Freeway sign with heatwaves coming off the gridlocked freeway. That summer we took a road trip cross country to California. It didn't look like the commercial and temps were cool at the beach. Still good memories. I vacation at Mission Beach every summer now that I am older.

We still have RC here in the midwest. I remember the bottle caps with cash prizes. Also remember the peel off tabs on the cans. I loved the bicentenniel bottles RC sold in 1976.

Almost impossible to find an RC in Los Angeles, Store shelves are all Pepsi/Coke brands.

I couldn't deal without my RC. I live in Ohio, and it's essentially everywhere. I prefer it over Coke, and don't ever go the Pepsi route. I hope they never get rid of it here!

In some areas, RC is seen as an "off-brand" product. Not in Kentucky! RC is every bit as popular as Coke or Pepsi in the Louisville area. At one time, the local Arby's franchise sold RC fountain products; I've never seen that anywhere else.

Ah Toby, so we meet again. The only place I've found RC fountain products here in TN is at a pub in Murfreesboro called the Bunganut Pig. I believe they actually have an establishment in Franklin too which may serve RC. I used to live in Murfreesboro and the first time I visited the BP I was very surprised to learn they had RC on tap. I came back 2 months ago and sure enough they still had it. Great food & live music there too. Anybody who visits/passes through the Boro needs to look this place up.
