Description
"Pepperridge Farm Remembers", but they don't know a good thing when they make one. These hard, very crunchy, chocolate ans walnut brownie sandwich cookies with the melt in your mouth cream were the best!!!

My sister and I would "treat" each other to these wonderful cookies when our kids were little and we rarely were given treats for ourselves! She would bring her girls to visit at our home with our three boys. Everything was about the kids. But the capri's were OURS! A small but wonderful surprise. There is no other cookie quite like a capri. I don't understand why they ever stopped production. I would love to be able to buy my sister a bag of capri's - a great memory, again.

I decided to google to see if anyone knew where you could find the capri cookies. I am glad to see that it is not just me that thought this was one of the best store bought cookies ever! I don't understand why when other great Pepperidge Farm cookies like Milano are still being made but not Capri!

Capris were the best cookies ever made. I used to purchase a couple packs a week, if there were any left on the shelf. I actually contacted Pepperidge farm and chastised them about this poor decision. Honestly, the rest of their product suck!

I don't understand how they decided to stop making Capri cookies. I remember visiting my fathers apartment and searching his cabinets for these goodies! My father had a thing for Capri Cookies and I inherited his taste for them. Ummmmm good! Bring um' back!

These were the best cookies I ever ate. I really miss them. I still think of them every time I shop for cookies. Nothing compares.

I LOVED those cookies. I agree with the rest of you, not sure why Pepperidge Farm stopped making them. I grabbed the new Milano melts, chocolate with vanilla cream hoping they would be similiar. Don't waste your money...can't even compare!

Finally, I found the name of these cookies. I've been googling for a year. Can we get the recipe I wonder. Man these were fine cookies. Why would they discontinue them????

Capri cookies were the best cookies I've every had in my life! I remember the great taste, the crunchy brownie and the smooth cream middle. And I don't know is you guys also remember they had "Brownies" cookies these were what the Capri cookie was made of...2 brownie cookies and cream middle! Till this day I can not understand why in the world they stopped making them! They were the 'BEST' cookies ever made! Pepperidge Farm...epic fail!!!

I agree with everyone. My dad would hide these cookies from everyone, will at least from me. I somehow knew or at least knew where to sniff out his hiding place. I too go to the grocery store hoping with high hopes that miraculously that Pepperidge Farm decided to bring back the Capri Cookies. I thought perhaps they deemed the center creme not nutritional - then I think "Nah" this is a cookie. Prepperidge Farm bring back the Capri!

I loved capri cookies! I also look for them wherever I go. A few years ago, I found them in one of the Pepperidge Farm assorted boxes and I bought every box I could get my hands on. I have tried to contact Pepperidge Farm & ask what happened to them, but I never get a response. Very sad! Nothing like them with a big glass of milk. I tried to make my own, but they didn't compare.

I used to pick up a quart of milk and a bag of these on my way home from school. They were by far my favorite snack.

What a miss for pepperidge farm! I've contacted the several times to bring these back. My favorite snack while studying in college! I still look every time I go down the cookie aisle. Nothing else comes close

When I discovered these cookies I was hooked. I had a Pepperidge Farms outlet store near my home and tried basically all their products. They have started reproducing the Tahiti cookie but it is nowhere near the goodness of the Capri. The other cookie they stopped production of that is truly missed is the peanut butter sandwich, I forget it's name but it was delish. I too tried to talk to someone at PPF but got no response. I am a long haul trucker and hauled their products out of the Denver Pa facility and tried to talk to someone there, but they really were not interested. Too Bad, Sad

I too ADORED Capri cookies back in the 70s; they were like an elegant version of Oreos! My favorite part about them was the creme filling; I thought, this amazing substance will never be duplicated EVER. Well check it out: I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, so I tried the Gluten Free Joe Joe cookies at Trader Joe's. No lie: the filling is VERY reminiscent of the Capri filling! Cool, smooth, and not too sweet. My taste buds were in an absolute time warp! Someone else give them a try; curious to know if my sense of taste/texture is playing tricks on me!

The college years were Capri cookies. Boy I miss them. Like everyone else, don't understand why Pepperidge Farm discontinued them. They can make all types of Milanos, who cares, bring back the Caprisl

Capris were my favorite, too. Last time I contacted Pepperidge Farm about them, they were only available in a Holiday assortment, but I don't think they are even in that anymore. If they are not going to make them, at least they could give us the recipe.

I second these comments! Capri was the best...........the gold standard..........everything else was sub-par when compared. Where are they and why haven't you fired your marketing person yet?

Come on, please, Pepperidge Farm bring back the Capri cookies. Without a doubt these were the best cookies I’ve ever had, hands down. I could and would eat them with milk, a cold cola or just eat them out of the bag with no chaser, they were that great. My daughter found this site and told me about it, because since she could remember I’ve told her about the Capri cookies. I’m 70 years old now. But would love to have a grand reunion with these delectable cookies. Thanks to all of you guys and girls, keep the flame burning until the Capri’s return.

Those were DIVINE and they were my “cookie for Santa” during the holidays

When Pepperidge Farm discontinued the Capri, it was in sort of the words of Don McLean, "the day the cookie died". When the Capri was still in the assortment boxes I would buy all the boxes on the shelf and take out all the Capris and hide them from my family. Shall we start a petition to bring them back?

Capris will always be my favorite. They were the best for crust in grasshopper pie too! PF please please please bring them back. I will pay extra, if that’s the case.
