Description
Yes, PDQ did come in chocolate and strawberry. For some reason I remember it being made by ovaltine. It was around in the 60's too. Then sometime in the 70's it suddenly dissappeared. Too bad too. It was good stuff.

I was just making myself a glass of Ovaltine and it got me thinking of PDQ. I use to drink it as a kid. I'd love to have a jar just so I could share it with my kids.

I really loved PDQ drink mix from when I was a kid. Any chance of someone our age buying the rights to it and re-making it?

I had totally forgotten about PDQ egg nog flavor but as soon as I started reading this page I immediately got the phantom taste. I LOVED PDQ (luckily my sister and brother didn't like egg nog so I got to keep it all!!)

It was made by Olvaltine. The eggnogg flavor was the best. I guess Quick was better marketed, but PDQ was without a doubt better. I wonder if it would be one of those things you loved as a child but if you tried it again as an adult you wouldn't like it.

I wish the company would make it again. I think all the people like us would keep them in business. Maybe we should write letters to the company that made it.

Does anybody remember the fireworks in the glass from in the commercials. Pitty Pow Pow! I thought when you mixed in the glass that the fireworks would go off...lol. It was good stuff.

Came online to see if you can still get eggnog pdq but it was discontinued about 20 years ago. Used to like to make it and put ice cream in it. I also used it for sprinkles on ice cream

It is amazing to see so many people who liked PDQ eggnog :) I thought I was the only one lol. I have not found anything in the same league since they stopped making it. It tasted better than any real eggnog. I used to put it over frosted flakes.

PDQ drink mix differed from Nestle Quick, in that the mix was of tiny chocolate beads, as opposed to the fine powder used by competitors. PDQ was around from 1968 until 1978, last I saw. Strangely enough, convenience stores named PDQ began popping up here in 1970.

Well My Son and Daughter are now 24 and 25 and I use to give PDQ EggNog to them also in the late 80's as I always liked it growing up. I was so bummed out when the stopped selling it and so many times I have talked about it and wish it would come back..

Ovaltine also manufactured PDQ Chocolate Flavor Beads, PDQ Choco Chips and Egg Nog Flavored PDQ, which are no longer available. These drink mixes were very popular from the 1960s to the 1980s. Ovaltine discontinued the PDQ products about 1995 or 1996.

I loved PDQ. My parents always bought the chocolate so I was unawae that there were other flavors. I used to sneak in the pantry and open the jar and eat a little out of the jar because it was was good! I was about 5 through 9. This was 1972-1976.

Fellow PDQ loveers- According to wiki Benco (Netherlands) makes a drink that tastes like chocolate PDQ. Im not sure if it will make a difference but if enough people write to Ovaltine, maybe they will consider bringing the good stuff back.

I remember it from my gmas house in the early 70's. She called it Pretty Darn Quick PDQ. Is that what it really stood for?
