Description
Mug O'Lunch was all I wanted. I preferred the chicken or beef flavors. Thank you to whoever mentioned the spaghetti flavor -- I forgot about that one!

my husband used to eat these for snacks and his mother would get mad cause she wanted him to save them for actual lunches- this was a real issue to her.but this was also the woman who wouldnt buy him a lite-brite because she thought it could cause blindness! she's really a nice woman now-thanks to prozac and modern psychiatry!

Please Betty, put the beef noodle Mug o Lunch back in stores ! The new hamburger helper singles remind me of the Mug-o-lunch, but they all have cheese and dont taste near as good !

The macaroni and cheese was my favorite too. My brother, sister and I all had our special cups that we ate it out of. They were the plastic cups with feet that looked like tennis shoes and faces. Wow, hadn't thought about that in years.

I'm almost 40 and I remember the taste of the Mac and Cheese as if I just had it yesterday!!! I am so glad that other people remember the Mug O Lunches. My husband doesn't remember them (must have been deprived, right?) The amy b comments are hilarious!!! Let's all call Betty Crocker, or email her, and tell her to bring back a good thing!!!

Thanks for reaffirming that my Mug O'Lunch years were real. I have spoken of the Cheesy Goodness Era of my life with my brother and sisters. But until now, no one outside of my family has been able to confirm that I truly experienced a time when so much deliciousness was packed into the bottom of a coffee mug. I liked mine a tad undercooked for a crunchy noodle.

I am going to email Betty Crocker as soon as I am done here! Please bring them back! I loved mine a little crunchy too! Loved mac & cheese and the beef noodle one! Wasn't there a chicken one too?

Yes, I have met some people who have remembered mug o lunch!!!!!!! No one in my area remembers it. I have the fondest memories of the beef noodle, it was my favorite. Hey, do any of you remember tootsie pop drops, they are small hard peices of candy with a little tootsie in the middle and they are individually wrapped???? Well, guess what if you do you can type it in and you can ORDER them ONLINE. They started making them again in June, my husband and I saw them on unwrapped (food network) and I had a fit, so I looked it up and found there is many online retro candy stores to order them from. Sorry I'm babbling but I've gotten started now. Before I go, just to throw this out at you guys, I don't know where you live so you might not remember, but. Does anyone remember BURGER CHEF????? I do!!! Yes I think there was a chicken one.

I emailed Betty Crocker to try to convince them to put Mug O Lunch back on the shelves. Come on people! Strength in numbers! Lets all email Betty Crocker and maybe soon we can all enjoy a mug of beef noodle! (or mac&cheese or spaghetti) P.S. I remember Burger Chef!

I remember Mug o Lunch mac N cheese very well... i was a little kid.. in fact I still have the cup I used to eat out of... we had our first Microwave and my mother would let me boil the water in a glass pyrex measuring cup and then pour into my mug for it.. i could make it myself and I was only 6 or 7 years old at the time... Paul Harvey on the kitchen radio and mug o lunch brings back fond memories.. i wish it still existed.. the macaronis were still kinda crunchy.. i always liked that

Mug O Lunch mac 'n' cheese was SO creamy and delicious. It was much better than anything out there then...and even today! I'm not sure, though, if it was the downfall toward my gaining weight through my adolescent years.

LOVED Mug O' Lunch! Was hoping to find a page like this with others fondly remembering this tasty treat. Don't care if it probably had 2000mg of Sodium, or if the "cheese" was an unnatural orange - bring it back!

I loved Mug-O-Lunch! My brother and I used to have the Mac N Cheese one each morning as breakfast before going to school! I just emailed Betty Crocker about it too! Plus, it was more earth friendly than products today which come on the plastic or styrofoam packaging!

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this product as a child.

I liked them all, but Macaroni & Cheese was my favorite. It had a flavor unmatched by any of the frozen entrees available today. Plus it was relatively low in calories. I don't see why that can't market them as microwave friendly - add water, put in Microwave...

I forgot to say, I was working in a relative's office and she turned me on to Mug o' lunches. They were so wonderful when refrigerator space was limited and you didn't have to go out to find something to eat on a blisteringly hot summer day or nasty slushy winter day.

My mom would make them in a thermos bottle and they were still relatively hot at lunch time. Just put the stuff for the envelope in, our in the boiling water and pt the cap on. Stir in the thermos at lunch time and it was AWESOME! I'm writing Betty Crocker now as well.

I have asked people too if they remember Mug-O-Lunch and not many do. I loved the chicken noodle and the Mac and cheese. Why did they stop making it?? I looked it up to see if they still sold it in anywhere but no luck. Man, I miss that stuff!

I loved the Mac n Cheese Mu O Lunch. It had such awesome flavor I will never forget. I eat the Easy Mac cups now and they don't even come close to the flavor of Mug O Lunch. I really wish they would bring these back. Knorr made the cup ones like Easy Mac that taste almost like the Mug O Lunch and then they stopped making those as well. Very disappointing.

My favorite was the chicken sour cream and chives. It had a real savory, oniony, sour creamy taste.

I loved Mug-O-Lunch! Especially the mac and cheese. Such comfort food. I still crave it. My aunt was disgusted that I would eat such a thing and called it Mug-O-Junk instead. She did make fabulous homemade mac and cheese, but I still liked this stuff even better. I recall the mugs I used to make it in.

I loved mug a lunch. I ate it every day for lunch and snacks both. My favorites were beef noodle and spaghetti. I loved all the flavors actually. I was very disappointed when it went off the shelves and literally bought all I could beforehand. I’d give anything if they would bring back the original flavors.

Mug-a-lunch was my favorite for camping with the Boy Scouts. The reason it tasted so good? FREEZE DRIED! Adding hot water reconstituted it to how the company made it. The product was made by the still in business Oregon Freeze Dried. You can still buy the flavors but in can form!
