I remember Moon Sticks and yes they were called Moon Sticks. I ate the Chocolate ones at my Aunt Loraine's when I was around 8 years old. I can't find anyone who remembers them, not even my own family. But I knew I was right, I'm so glad I found this site. I wish there was a picture.

I also remember moon sticks. In fact I was asking my mom about them a couple of months ago and she couldn't remember the name! I knew "moon" was in the name. We had the peanut butter ones and they were wonderful!

I loved the chocolate ones! I remember they had a silver wrapping. I would love to find these again..my kids look at me with strange faces when I describe them. :-)

I loved these as a kid, especially the caramel ones. They're actually called Space Food Sticks, and were made by Pillsbury. I'd always called them Moon Food, but I just found an old television ad for them, and that's the name.

I loved the chocolate ones as a kid, and I was just craving one now. So sorry they no longer exist. I wonder if someone still has a package, more than 30 years past the expiration date?

It's so cool to find other people who remember Moon Sticks! I remember getting them at the grocery store with my mom when I was very young(4 years old). This was in the late 60's. Do wish they were still around to share with my kids as well.

We ate these all the time as a kid. I remember them to be called "Moon Sticks" but that may just be what we called them. I was just talking about them at work and everyone was like, "What?" How fun it is to remember things from your childhood!

Yes, I loved the flavor of the nugat/caramel Moon Sticks! They were great!! I use to beg my Mother to buy them every week at the grocery store, and she would. I still remember the unique taste. No other taste has come my way since. They were that good! Cheers!

I remember Moonsticks too! And, yes, they did come out in the late 1960's, around the time of the first Moon walk. If I'm not mistaken they were advertised as the snack food choice of astronauts while on space missions. When I ate them I felt like a little astronaut myself!!!

So glad I found this site. I also remember "moon sticks" in silver wrappers. No one in my family seems to remember them, either. I also remember them as being yummy. I think I liked the nuggat ones.

We called them Moon Sticks in 1969. Forget about Lucky Charms, Fruit Loops or Puffed Rice for breakfast, we gorged on sticks. My brother, little sister, friends and I used to devour stick after stick after stick after stick, which usually left us with a sick feeling because we ate them all. No one on the entire planet remembers Moon Sticks, my brother and sister, both have "amnesia", I ask them if they remember "Moon Sticks" they look at me with a blank stare. I was eating a protein bar last night and I mentioned to my wife, "It tastes like a moon stick" and she remembered them!

There is a group www.spacefoodsticks.com that has brought back the SFS. While its a knock off of the orginal Pillsbury bars its as close as you can get. Go check it out, it's a fun site to visit.

I also remember these. All the kids took them in their sack lunches. It seems like they came in a box similar to a pop tart box. Funny how a blast from the past just makes you go the computor in hopes you haven't lost your mind.

I still crave these things but could never even find them mentioned until finding this page today. Google moon sticks an mostly I get moon pies, not the same.

Moon sticks were like the original 'bar', fuel for astronauts and active kids. I had them in my lunchbox every day and thought they were awesome. Now, all these years later, when I have an energy bar, I often smile and think of my moon sticks, all those years ago in grade school.

My family too thinks I am crazy! However, if you google "space food sticks" you will find great pictures of original packaging. they were mad by Pillsbury. We called them moon sticks but they were sold as "food" and "space food" sticks.
