Description
These were a boxed pastry by Drakes I believe. It was a blue and white box with a goose logo. The pastry had a layer of cream and fruit layer, usually strawberry or raspberry. I think they were sold later as Pick-me-ups. Atleast here in New England.

They were called Vashon Flakey Puffs. They actually came in all kinds of flavors and varieties.I had an Uncle who worked for the company, and he would bring us boxes of them.I loved them so much! They don't sell them in the U.S. anymore, although they do sell the Pick me ups,but they're not as good as the Flakey Puffs I remember. My mother took a trip to Canada, and told me that Vashon Flakey puffs are sold there.

I loved Flakey Puffs, and yes they still have them in Canada. Whenever I go up to visit, I will bring back some. They are still yummy!

We found something very similar in Shaws supermarket in Plymouth, Ma. Not exactly the same but a bit smaller and not as much filling.... but real good.................found them in the bread isle.

I also LOVED flakey Puffs! Just found something very comparable! They're called "Pastry Puffs" by "Taste 'n Tell" found them at Stop & Shop and Market Basket. Closest thing to the original Flakey Puff!

The brown bread in a can is the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten!
