Description
I used to go to the Rec center with my folks and loved getting this Canadian beverage when we were leaving. Cheesy 70s graphics on the can and a wonderful, bubble-gummy red creme soda on the inside. (Not the same as today's Fanta, which is owned by Coke and only four flavors)

Red cream soda was so Gross! Crush made it in Canada when I was a kid, and I won a free bottle of it on a bottlecap game. One sip was all I could handle without barfing

I used to love Fanta Red Cream Soda. The only place I could get it in the early 80's was at a particular vending machine at a telephone company building in RI that housed the operators. I knew the day the machine would be filled up and I'd go there after school and clean it out.

I'm trying to find the lyrics to a 70s Fanta TV commercial. It sang "fanta fanta its a bottle of fun" "Like a rainbow to slide on a peacock to ride on" Any one remember this? Where can I find the commercial or lyrics? No luck on youtube. Thanks.

Omg! Jim I used to love Nehi Red Cream soda. I remember those days of going to the store and buying as many as I could. For the life of me I could not see why my brother liked the blue. That was a while ago when soda were sold in glass bottles.

My mom bought this at Buttrey Osco in Casper Wyoming in the 1970s on 12th Street. I loved it but I was also 5 years old and loved anything green like Kool-aid or pistachio Jell-o pudding.

OMGosh - I was an Army Brat and lived in Panama from 1978 to 1981. In the 7th grade I used to eat 2 empanadas and 1 Fanta Red Cream Soda every single day. It was sooo good!

We had a vending machine at our community pool that was always set just a little too high and the soda would come out slightly frozen. I always loved the red creme soda! Wish they still made this stuff!

For years, I could treat myself to a Fanta Red Cream Soda at the Boys Club in San Diego. It was always in the vending machine, and it was always a treat. Brings back fond memories. I wish I could get it again!

I loved this stuff. Nothing better than taking a long bike ride in the summer and then riding up to a gas station that had the vending machine outside that was always turned up a bit more in the blazing sun and when you'd pop the tab of that Fanta Red Cream Soda, you'd also get a little icy fizz! Sure wish they would bring back this stuff - it was the best !

A friend and I used to walk home from Junior High in the late 1970's and we would stop at the local bowling alley, buy a Fanta Red Cream Soda and a bag of Doritos as a snack, then sit and cool off before walking the rest of the way home. Wow...Blast from the past!

Back in the 80's my dad would go to softball practice at Meridian High in Idaho. There was a vending machine there that if you pressed the change release lever, would sometimes pop out some quarters. When it did I'd put them back in and get me a Fanta Red Cream Soda. Sooo good!

When I was in Okinawa, Japan in 1983-85 the commissary sold Fanta Red Cream in cans. It was very inexpensive. It was less than $4 for a case of 24 cans. Fanta makes some pretty good flavored sodas.

We used to be able to get it in the vending machine at our apartment complex' laundry room. Last I saw it there was 1990. Haven't seen Fanta Red Creme since the mid-90's here in the states. Now you got me thinking of ways to import soda from the damn Bahamas.

Fanta Red Cream was, and probably still is my all-time favorite soda. Can't recall when I last had one but I can tell you that I miss it. I used to be able to get it at a laundromat vending machine in Milwaukee around 1975 when I was only 8 or 9. I would have to go with my mom, and that is how she would bribe me. Only fond memories now, of course. I would love to try one again, even in a laundromat!

I lived on a Navy Base in Coronado, California in the 70s, and there was a vending machine near the movie theater. It had Fanta Red Cream Soda for lijev10 or 15 cents. My friends and I used to skateboard over there to but it, and it tasted so good.

When my brothers and sister got old enough to ride our bikes down the hwy to the gas station in the 70's as kids, we would take our empty pop glass bottles to the and get the deposit back and buy fanta red creme soda out of the drink machine out front. They were so good. I have been wanting to find them now I'm 52. I ask the coke vender in Walmart today, and he said that they did sell fanta back in the day, but he hasn't seen fanta red in a long time. I loved them!!

It was my Dad’s Bell Northern company picnic in 1979. It was a hot summer day after three legged race and wheelbarrow race and holding an egg on the spoon...I opened a red creme soda and had a cold sweet creamy berry taste pop in my mouth. Best taste ever

I remember helping my mom with the laundry when I was around 9 or 10. She would have me check on the clothes in the dryers at our apartment laundromat. It must have been in the late 70's in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a reward for helping with the laundry, she would hand me an extra quarter and I would always get a Fanta Red Cream soda from the vending machine in the laundromat. I loved that soda. I ask younger people about it now and get a blank stare like I'm making it up!

Until the last two years or so, this was a 'lost memory' of mine. I definitely enjoyed Fanta (I think) red cream soda during my college years 1969-73, *but* I *just can't* remember for sure whether it was still around during my military service years (1975-81), in particular at Ft. Devens MA from 1975-78. I'm thinking that was the likely last time that I might have partaken of it. Just cannot say for sure. I do not remember it from my tour of duty in Germany (1978-81), but I possibly *may* have had it there too. I don't remember it being around at all after I returned stateside. Anyway, I've recently occasionally looked for a fill-in of sorts, and the closest likely equivalent nowadays would probably be Strawberry Crush soda. But I cannot find a diet/sugar-free version of that. If the red cream soda ever comes back, there will need to be a 'diet' variation available.
