I have told the story, millions of times to friends and even my second husband of how my child hood friend and I would walk a mile to the grocery store and buy a Family size bag and have a "potato chip party". My FAVORITE WAS SOUR CREAM AND ONION DORITOS!!!!! Every one I have met my age and older do not recall, but-I still see that yellow and green Doritoes bag in my dreams. Whoa....I can ALMOST taste them even...If only they could just bring the EXACT, flavor and TACO as well -back not mixed up with the freaky new flavors....Do I have to pull my cancer survivor card just to get them back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, at any rate. I maintain that they were THE BEST flavor and, I just proved to my husband that they existed since I found them on the computer. I just guess they will stay a tearful memory of happier times, on a blanket, looking up at the sky until blue spots floated in my eyes after eating so many chips.....ah---what a BEAUTIFUL memory.

I too have fond memories of sour cream and onion dorito's. I rememebr as a kid my cousins and I would take our empty soda bottles back to the store for a 10 cents deposit and buying bag after bag after bag of sour cream and onion dirotos, back the they were 25 cents a bad so we'd collect as many bottles as we culd to buy as many doritos as we could...Imagine my surprise wehn one day I went to the corner store and found out they were no longer on the market!!! I believe I fainted and thought the clerk was playing some kind of cruel joke and me. But as fate would have it, yes they stopped making them...to this day I long for the flavor of sour craem and onion dorito's....nothing else will ever compare....ever...

I too remember my childhood days of playing in the sun and enjoying numerous bags of sour cream and onion doritos. I can't believe the stopped producing them. My heart broke. No one other than the few people (my sister and two cousins)who experienced them with me remember them. I can't believe it. How can such a chip with such a wonderful taste go unremembered. Everybody including my husband thought I was crazy until I found this page. I'm so excited. I tried to tell my husband that new ones weren't the same (when they briefly tried to replace them a few years ago).Anybody remember that? I shall continue to long for that fabulous flavor until they can oneday be reproduced the correct way.

Sour Cream andOnion Doritos were the best tasting product that Frito Lay ever produced. Naturally, they took them off the market. :-( I wish they would bring the flavor back.

This is amazing! For a while there, I thought that maybe I was dreaming. To find other people that remember them is great. I loved those Sour Cream and Onion Doritos and I would love to see them come back. They were a heck of a lot bettr than Sweet Chili or any of these new ones. They need to bring 'em back. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

I too am on the internet proving to my brother who is three years younger than me that we use to eat Doritos in a Green bag and the taste like you all said was very good is anyone sure as to why Frito Lay took them off the market??? Or some have said that they denied ever making them go on you tube and see the commerical for yourself..................I want them now

Wow my dream was to have a closet full of them on the pull off racks. I used to eat the whole bag and would dream of having more. Till this day I still think of them every time I get a bag of cool ranch.
