I've been looking everywhere for info on these! So far all I have found out is that they were made by Neilson. Oh, I've also found out that there are ALOT of us looking for them. They should brings these back! MMmmmm

Yes,they were quite a good chocolate bar.I remember eating them in the summer; I think it was 1977.That's all I did was buy those chocolate bars and then one day they were gone.Couldn't get them anymore and I wondered where my favorite chocolate had gone. It was made by Neilson."Neilson's Cinnamon Danish" and the thought of that sweet.... cinnamon... and wafers makes my mouth water everytime. Then I think back to that chocolate bar and the good old summer of I think it was 1977. What a great time! Cadbury makes Neilson chocolates now.We should write them about this chocolate bar in regards to bringing it back as a good old Retro Bar.Cadbury probably doesn't realise how many people long for this chocolate bar.

I remember the Danish Bar very clearly as it was wrapped in clear plastic with a brown cardboard bottom. I loved these bars. I recall two flavors. They were a creamy white color with red or yellow swirls. The red tasted of cinnamon danish. The yellow tasted of lemon danish. The creamy coating and thin wafers made a light snack. I loved them and wished they would come back. Maybe it's time the big chocolate bar companies bring this classic back to life. I truly believe that they would be a big seller. I always thought Lowney distributed these bars, but Neilson's makes more sense. So bring back the Danish Bar, the new generation would love them. PS This would not be impossible. Old Dutch Chips bought back the "Mexican Chile" flavored chips after many requests and a signed petition.

I've been searching online for info about the good ol' Neilson's Danish bar that I remember loving as a young child and this is the first place I've finally found with mention of it. I sure hope someone picks up the ball and starts making them again. They were so different from the rest of the run-of-the-mill brown chocolate stuff in candy-wrappers.

Very good chocolate bar. I have a friend at Neilsons and only if enough people sign the online petition will they bring it back. Thats over 15,000 people.

Yes!! I remember this candy bar was in "competition" with the 10:30 candy bar... which was very similar, but I think that the Danish had a stronger cinnamon flavor while the 10:30 was a bit sweeter. Both were good, and if we couldn't get one, then the other was more then welcome! At that time, each bar cost 16 cents!!!

I'm so glad I found this - I'm not crazy after all. Every time I wistfully describe the cinnamon danish bar for people, I get blank looks - nobody remembers them except me! Probably my favourite when I was 9 years old... I used to get them in Ottawa, but I'm out west now, maybe they didn't sell them out here?

Absolutely the same for me! NOBODY else remembers them, yet I made myself sick on them one spring! They were just SO delicious, and so different! Would love to see them brought back!

Does anyone have a picture of the Candy Bar?

I remember this bar!!! The center was a wafer, like a Mr Big, right? It was, essentially, a white chocolate Mr Big.

This was my mom favorite. I remember buying her a case for Mother's day one year. They were so yummy. I remember thinking I was really grown up eating them since it was my mom's favorite, I thought they were for grown ups.

Like many of you I miss the Cinnamon Danish bar. I don't know why I was thinking of it just now, or why I searched for it. Perhaps it was because I was just shopping for a candy bar, and nothing really got me. The Cinnamon Danish was my favorite, but my wife and her family look at me strangely when I mention it. I guess those that liked it, liked it a lot.

My family still talks about these bars that we used to enjoy on car rides. The only thing similar nowadays is Ultimate French Cremes by Dare, but they're a pale substitute. Bring back the Danish Bar as a retro favorite!

Just for everyone’s interest I submitted a picture (twice) of the Cinnamon Danish bar wrapper for review. It has been a week and still no sign of the picture. I guess the picture review committee must be on holidays. Sorry, hopefully one day it will be posted.

I've been wondering about these bars for years. Loved 'em in the late '70's too. I thought I was going nuts! I don't even do dairy anymore, but if they brought these back I'd have to reconsider. They were kinda like a white chocolate Mr. Big. Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Nothin' like 'em!!

I also loved them, and also remember that there were 2 flavours, the cinnamon, and the lemon. Wish I could have one now !

I thought I was the only person who knew about these yummy chocolate bars. I liked that they were white chocolate and had the zig zaggy reddish pink stripes. I don't remember it being too cinnamony, just melt in your mouth wafer and creamy chocolate

Had to search for the name. I was talking to my brother today and we both remembered them but could not remember the name. They were our favourite. Quite delicious. They melted in your mouth.

I came to Canada in 1974 from the UK and had my first cinnamon danish candy bar, along with one called crunchwich, I love both of them and suddenly they were discontinued, no reason given, why do companies wait until you really love something and then take it away, that is what I would like to know ??????

I used to buy a Cinnamon Danish bar at least once a week at the "Odd Spot" confectionery in Peace River, Alberta.

Holy crap I have been looking for this chocolate bar since I was in grade three. Finally the woman who owns the chocolate store in the Crossroads Farmers Market in Calgary told me it's name. I have asked every store I have been in about the Danish. So funny it's the thing I remember the most about being a kid is going to the Red Roster in Millwoods. Amazing,I am not the only one. It's like a episope of X Files. How do I start a petition like the one mentioned above?

What memories, when I was like 7 or so my dad would give us our tiny allowance and we'd go pick a treat at the old style general store in Nova Scotia. I used to like saving my money but I'd always spend it to buy my cinnamon danish. I'll never forget the wafer and delicate cinnamon taste. As I get older I'm not into brown chocolate as much but I would totally become re-addicted to cinnamon danish, I would totally sign a petition to bring it back.

Whoever said it was like a Mr Big bar is right. I recently ate a Mr Big bar and instantly remembered a similar bar with white coating and cinnamon flavour. Could not for the life of me remember the name. I don't think I would ever have come up with "Cinnamon Danish" but surely that's what it was. Too bad there's no picture on here.

I live in the States but used to vacation every summer outside of Port Colbourne, Ontario. The local store was Concessi's and I used to get my 'fix' of these yummy morsels of goodness there. We never had them down here, so no one has ever been able to walk down memory lane with me about these....I am salivating just remembering!

OMG there are about 50 of us here that have been trying to remember the name of that bar for about 20 years. I remember it was a lot like a Mr Big Bar only in White. Everyone here remembered the bar but not the name, and it's been driving us crazy! Nielson if you are listening BRING THEM BACK PLEASE!!!!
