this cereal had a picture of a white whale on it. It was another very tasty cereal. kudos to anyone that can remember this one from the early 70's!.

Another one I am glad someone mentioned. friends didn't believe me when I said I remember Vanilla crunch. I loved that cereal.
yes i remember this one! I thought she was called Vanilla Nella or something. The whale! Wish this site was able to provide images of these products. That'd REALLY take me back!
The whale's name was Wilma. I have no idea why I remember that.

This was the best cereal! Like TGV, none of my friends believed this actually existed.
I was only 3 or 4 at the time, but I remember the taste and how much I loved it. My mom still remembers how I had to have it every day. Waiting for it to come back!
People look at me like I'm crazy when I mention Vanilla Captain Crunch. I wish they would bring that stuff back. To this day I still crave it.
This was hands down my favorite cereal as a kid. Not my favorite Captain Crunch cereal but my favorite cereal, period! I'm 41 now and I can almost still taste it. I'd pay double the price just to have it back. It was delicious! Bring it back Quaker. PLEASE!!!

I found the same thing. Many people do not remember this cereal. I liked it a lot. I wish it were still around so I could let the kids of today try it.

Crazy. I have been asking whatever happened to this cereal for YEARS. It was my favorite as a little boy. And again, no one believed me that it existed.

My dad worked at Quaker, so we always had plenty of Quaker products in the house, but Vanilly Crunch was hands-down my favorite (nobody else seemed to remember it... until I saw this page). I too ate it straight out of the box. Let's hope they bring it back someday...

I also loved this cereal. I was telling my kids about it, one of them told some other people about it. they were told that I was crazy, that there never was a vanilla crunch. I can't believe is was ever stopped, and can't wait for them to bring it back. I think it will be as adicting as peanut butter crunch is,
OMG!!! I'm not alone....I feel like I'm part of a elite group of ppl who have tasted this fantastic cereal!! Ppl don't believe me either until I found this page...they believe me now! Bring back that sweet delicious taste!
BEST....CEREAL.....EVER. I would kill to have Quaker bring it back. Also, does anyone recall that in the late 70's it changed to a pruple box with an octopus mascot? Or am I thinking of yet another obscure incarnation of Captn Crunch?
I was telling people about this cereal and they didn't believe me so I'm glad I found this site. I too would buy the VANILLY CRUNCH with the whale on the front of the box, .if they brought it back. I think my kids would also! like it.
I think we should start a petition drive to bring it back!
