Description
Orange - Pineapple soda. Really good, but has to be out of the can ice cold (not the plastic bottle) You can still find in most small liquor and convienence stores.

This is still made and can be bought in two-liter bottles. I get it at Ralph's grocery stores in Southern California. It's an orange-pineapple soft drink!

Cactus Cooler is great unless it is less than ice cold. Then it is kind of gross. It's been many years since I've had one.

I have Cactus Cooler every once in a while. I wish they'd use cane sugar instead of nasty HFCS. Then I'd drink it more often.

Canada Dry began selling Cactus Cooler around 1968. It was distributed in limited areas (that have desert land). Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. In early episodes of "The Flintstones," Fred would be seen lying on a hammock with a bottle of Cactus Cooler (before it was an established product), sort of parody on Coca Cola. eBay has label tags which were in vending machine selection buttons (when you'd buy a can). It also has a Canada Dry vending machine from around 1980, soda was 60c a can.
