Description
It resembled a moon pie. They came in chocolate and vanilla. I would love to find out if they are still available for purchase.

My brother's favorite snack at recess in our Texas elementary school in the 1950's was the Lance Big Town Cake. It consisted of 2 square slabs of gingerbread cake with marshmallow sandwiched in between, with scalloped edges which was then dipped in either a pink glaze, a chocolate glaze or a creamy beige glaze all of which seemed to taste the same. He favored the dark pink one if it was available from the "cafeteria lady". They cost a nickel and while I really liked them, he loved and craved them. Would give almost anything to be able to find a supply for him.
