1-2-3 JELLO was a layered desert that in fact was very easy to make because my sister & I made it all the time. You added water & whipped it & poured it into clear fancy dishes then as it set in the fridge it would separte into 3 layers (bottom was regular jello, middle was creamy & the top was light whipped layer) It came in many flavours but I remember orange & strawberry were our favourite.

There was definitely something magical about it, whipping it all up and then a short time later it had somehow separated itself out into three layers!

I loved it when my mom made this. It was the coolest thing, and pretty tasty too. We felt like we were getting a real treat.

I used to love that stuff....the foam on top..the middle was like chiffon..and the bottom was jello. Vermont Country Store sells it

I remember making it , you would pour in jello let gel in fridge then do the next layer put back in fridge until firm then the last layer on top and back into the fridge for a little while and then you had the best jello ever

Found an early TV commercial for 1-2-3 Jell-O which aired on "Green Acres" (10/1/69, CBS). At the time, only five basic flavors were offered. 1-2-3 desserts lasted 17 years (1969-1996). Discontinuation coincided with Kraft taking over General Foods.
