Description: A trendy knee-length skirt with a swinging movement. The most popular colors were black, white, beige, tawny, tan, pink, blue, red, purple, gray, burgundy( definately bungundy) and pea green.

These were really popular where I lived (Dallas) in the mid-70s til about 1978. They were basically full dirndl skirts that were usually tiered or ruffled, usually to the top of the calf but sometimes almost to the ankle. In cotton gauzes and worn with canvas espadrilles or sandals in warm weather, denim or challis and worn with full, knee boots in cold weather.

I worked with a girl who wore a peasant skirt almost every day. With them, she also would usually wear leotards and always knee-high boots.
