I only remember wearing boots in the winter.

The 70's knee boots are pretty much like the 00's knee boots today, though today's heels are probably a little higher and lower (flat boots are in too) and they are more of a fall and winter wear. I think boots are more of a standard classic than they are tied to any time frame, it's hard to imagine them not being worn 20 years from now.

Knee-high boots seem to continue in popularity. Now, the style is to wear jeans, slacks, etc. tucked into knee-high boots.
