Description
Sex:
Type of clothing:
When it was popular:
Description: Some looked like a chastity belt with 6 buttons on each hip..making a flap when unbuttoned. The other style had 4 buttons in the front and the top button was purposely not able to be buttoned...these had a buckle across the back of the pants...quite the statement back then.

I loved these pants!!!! I remember pulling them out of the dryer, laying on the floor, sucking in my stomach & FINALLY getting them zipped (and thinking I looked HOT!) I guess you really CAN find anything online...Thx.

The pants with 4-6 buttons on each side were called "sailor pants" and the type with four buttons up the front and one undone at the top and a buckle in the back were "tuxedo" pants. The company went out of business in 1985.

Fresh out the dryer was the only way!! The only pants "back then" to come in size zero. I loved the lace ups and Cartiers. I remember helping out freinds to get that zipper up!! (HA) They were "IT" and if you had them so were you!!

these were the best pants ever...i wish they still made them. sexy, girly and the best designs. If you want something similar, go to a western shop and buy Rockies.

I remember these from Jr. High, right after Ditto's were popular. A girl at my work wore some a couple years ago and I couldn't stop laughing! She got them from a friend and had no idea how old they were!

Joey had names for my pants: The "sailor" style were my virgin pants (to hard to get into) the ones with the top button undone were my "advertising" pants. He said those really drove him crazy because one was already undone.

I sold them in my stores in the early 80's. Could never get enough of them. Sold out every pair I ever purchased.

I have a younger sister and between us we had all the styles of these jeans. And yes, out of the dryer, tight, squatting to make them loosen just right, was how we wore them. They were very expensive for the times and we felt beautiful and noticed. I agree that these should come back with straight legs. ❤

I totally agree these would do great if they made a comeback. They were HOT then and would be just as popular today. I remember paying upwards of $50. for my jeans in the late 70's but I just had to have each one of the styles Chemin de Fer came in! Then came Dittos & Jordache of coarse!

I loved the sailor jeans. But recall Chemin de Fer definitely ran at least a size smaller than Dittos and other jeans
