    By: Pottsy
    • 10. Hold The Line by Toto
The guy's voice is amazing, not to mention the riffs. If 'Africa' was brought out in the 70's that would be in my top 10 .. but 2 years too late :(
    • 9. Rock And Roll by Led Zeppelin
My second fave Zep song, quality stuff from Jimmy Page here.
    • 8. Razamanaz by Nazareth
The catchiest song of the 70's in my opinion.
    • 7. Stormbringer by Deep Purple
I love everything about this song. It typifies my taste from when I was around 10 (I'm 17), but my dad always listened to it and I remember this song earlier than any other.
    • 6. Soldier of Fortune by Deep Purple
I love the vocals and the lyrics.
    • 5. Interzone by Joy Division
I love the riff on this song, and coming from Manchester I do have my bias. :)
    • 4. Time by Pink Floyd
The way this song kicks in is just the best thing ever, the song rides on a big bass note for like 3 seconds then a drum intro and BOOM "Diggin away the moments that make up a dull day" .... the little guitar fills as well... superb.
    • 3. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
A top 3 best songs of the 70's just ain't complete without this... genius.
    • 2. Into The Void by Black Sabbath
Again, one of my earliest heavy metal memories. The repetition of the riff is amazing ... Sabbath made the metal genre with songs like this.
    • 1. Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty
The best song I've ever heard, never of this particular decade. There is just nothing this song hasn't got... a multitude of percussion, brass, woodwind, string, great lyrics, and superb vocals. Love it!

Some might not be in order below the top 5 because it's hard to differentiate between places, but the top 5 is my top 5.
