The TROUBLE game goes back to 1968, and was first manufactured by the Kohner company. Like Schaper and Ideal, Kohner also caved to bankruptcy by 1975, and Parker Brothers bought rights to the game. Still in stores today.

Here's some cartoon fun, Chicago style. Found a TV commercial block, by Kohner, for the Trouble and Headache Pop-O-Matic games. Headache's pawns were cones (a la dunce caps). Players tried capturing each other's color cones by "crowning" them atop each other. This aired in early 1968 on a 60-minute cartoon block, "New 3 Stooges & Friends" over WBKB (now WLS). On the program, the cartoon Stooges did no eye poking or nose punching, just lots of name calling. The live-action Stooges appeared in wraparounds. Also, cartoons of the Proton-Pill-popping superhero Roger Ramjet filled out the hour. Ramjet, leader of a band of kids comprising the American Eagle Squadron, used these pills to supplant his violent confrontations with evildoers such as the Solenoid Robots and Noodles Romanoff! The late Gary Owens voiced Ramjet. These cartoons, hilarious as they were, would be a little misfit to this 2015 crowd.
