Tommy Talker was a ventriloquist doll made in Canada by Regal Dolls, circa 1969 to '71. These are somewhat uncommon, as none of the major U.S. department stores didn't sell them. Private citizens brought these into the country, for a small customs fee.Tommy Talker was made in the vein of ventriloquist dolls created by Paul Winchell and Edgar Bergen. These were either manufactured in Toronto or Montreal.
Hi My parents got divorced 16 yrs ago. I had hoped to find my tommy talker at my dad's. He says she says. Anyway. The doll was in the happier yrs of my childhood!!
