Description
cute Barbie-like teen doll with really curly blonde hair...I think she was supposed to be a high school cheerleader...she had her own little circle of friends who could be purchased separately...I think she wore silver overall shorts with a pink shirt...I haven't thought of this in YEARS...

I had a Starr doll! I think her outfit was silver and red... in fact I think I may still have her in storage. I remember that I saved up my allowance so that I could buy her.

I loved this doll! There were three others: her boyfriend Shaun, Kelley who was like a brown haired version of Starr with glasses, and Tracy who was dark with long straight hair. Tracy was my favorite because she came with roller skates.

The full name of these was Starr Modeling Agency dolls from around 1980. This series was by Mattel, self-competing with Barbie. The Starr dolls were for the budget-minded family, costing only half of what Barbies did (around $5 apiece), with corresponding lower quality.
