It was an electronic game. Round and black with four big different colored buttons red, blue, yellow and green. There was more than one level to play. The object was to repeat the order of the sound and lighting up of the buttons

Brilliant game. You could round up all the swotty kids and make them play it while you walked behind with a bat. Then when the first one made a mistake you'd hit him with the bat as a warning to the others. This could go on all day

Yes, I also noticed the inherent violent nature that was brought out by this game. We'd start out papping the pads to copy the sequence, and would end up whacking each other's hands to try to mess up the (more skilled) opponents, until we descended into playing rough-and-tumble on the carpet. Lesson? Simon=Carpetburn

This was THE toy of the year one Christmas. They couldn't be found ANYWHERE. I remember how excited I was that my parents found one.

We still have an original from the 70's with 1000's of hours I am sure . It still works and the kids pay with it on occasion. Its much better than the new remakes of it.
