I played with these when I was little. I can't remember anything about them either. But I know they are made by the makers of Monchhchi - Washino. I have two of from when I was little and have recently found three in mint condition at a garage sale. I thought I would post a picture for others to see. I would love to learn more about them!

I HAVE THE BLACK ONE AND THE WHITE ONE. I LOVE THEM THEM TO DEATH. TRY TO SEARCH WHENEVER YOU CAN ON EBAY( MONCHICHI) OR (NYAMY). THEY SHOW UP ONCE IN AWHILE.

I've got 3 of them, Vanilla, the white one, Nappy, the grey one, and Feleena, the black one. I never did get the tan one. =( Peppi was actually a pale tan, not pure white, at the time they were sold. If I can dig up my vanilla, I can send a picture. They are all floating around in my son's bedroom nowadays!

I've got three of the nyamys, the black one, grey one, and tan one. Looking on the internet I have found more than four nyamys. In other countries there are orange, pink, and blue nyamy's.

I got the white one (Peppi) when I was young...I hauled that thing around with me everywhere I went for at least 3 years. It became grey and matted over time, and it's head fell off...I was heartbroken. Now I'm 31 years old, and would LOVE to get my hands on another one.

They are the Nyamy Kitten Family and here are their names as follows : black Nyamy is named Felina,white Nyamy is named Vanilla,grey Nyamy is named Nappy and tan Nyamy is named Peppi !! They were made back in 1979 by a company called Washino DNP and apparently were recalled after nine months and taken off the market cause they contained iron powder - which is like gun powder when set on fire highly dangerous. They were made back then to be friends to Monchhichi an adorable little stuffed monkey, the Monchhichi's were made by Sekiguchi - also they were very popular in the 70's !! They are so adorable and I always have wanted these when I was a kid but never got them and so a few years ago I started buying them on ebay and was lucky to have found the white,black and tan one and I had them since a few years already and by luck just this month I finally found the grey one so now they are reunited and together again finally - as there were only 4 of these made !! OMG Jasmin, they are too damn cute together!! But I was always under the impression that Peppi was white, not beige...now that I see the other white one, I've now come to realize I've been living a 24 year long "white lie". HAHA...nonetheless, my search for Peppi goes on, and I shall not rest until I find him again. I actually found one on Ebay a couple days ago after my previous post...and right after I saw it, I kicked myself for not learning German back in high school because the whole page was in German!

Melanie I hope you find her !! It took me 8 years to get these 4 together in the mint condition mine are in. But all were found on ebay I searched for them on German ebay, also Canada and England and of course USA. I actually got my white one Vanilla MIB from Germany so the names on her box are all in German and not the english ones used.I luckily speak German but to be honest most Germans do speak some English some even pretty well, so next time you see a German auction you are interested in don't be afraid to contact them.

I actually have all of the nyamy's and I love them to death! I have their matching wicker accessories that they sit on. They are very rare and every once in a while they appear on ebay. If you can't find them in USA look in Germany, I garuntee you will always find one in Germany.

Yeay! People who know Nyammy!!! When I moved away I gave one of the each to three friends and I kept the grey one Nappy! I remember the paper chair they came with for their box display, I don't think mine was paper. I have paid $50 for one, so there are crazier people out there than me! So much fun!
