Description
I believe it was made by Kenner Toys. it was a red plastic fondue pot with a yellow middle insert that was divided into three sections. You would put hot water in the fondue pot, then put the yellow insert over it. In the three sections, you would add the powder packets - chocolate, vanilla and strawberry - and mix these with water. It came with yellow plastic fondue forks and you dipped mini marshmallows in the sauces. I loved this toy as a child!! I'm now 31 and can't find it anywhere, but it certainly belongs on your list!

I was the little boy in the middle of the three kids on the box. Love to find the other two girls that were on there. paulvolz@yahoo.com

I had this kiddie fondue pot as a child. loved it was my favorite toy. But every time I ask anyone if they remember it they've never heard of it. I was unsure that it really existed or not, thanks for the reassurance that it did exist afer all! I was the only one of my friends that had one. Would love to find one now for my daughter.

My kids were talking about making fondue and all of a sudden I remembered the commercial "Kiddie Fondue is fun for you. Let's kiddie Fondue and you can too!" Anyway, they thought I meant "Kitty Fondue" and that I was being cruel to animals. Too funny.

I was just telling my friend about my sister's kiddie fondue set. I went online to see if I could find one to show her. We had four children in our family and used it frequently. It was one of our favorite gifts! I wish I could find one for my children.

My son's who are now 40 & 38 had one-it was lots of fun. Well, I found our's packed away and will be using it with my granddaughter next week when she turns two! She may be a little young but I know she will have fun. If I decide to ever sell I'll send info to this site. Good luch. It was made by Kenner a part of General Mills.

Does anyone remember how the cherry chips had a cooling after effect when you ate something fondued in them? How can that be recreated without carcinogens?
juliebeth - August 27, 2010 - Report this comment
Cherry chips were my favorite! When I ran out of mix, I tried to order more. Kenner kindly sent my money back as it had been discontinued. They suggested I use chocolate chips. Just wasn't the same.

I still have my Kiddie Fondue! It's missing two of the forks and the knob is busted, but its otherwise complete. If any of you have a pair of forks, I would be willing to purchase them from you. Dr_Matt_Adams@yahoo.com
