Description
I HAD a Hi Dottie doll, but memory is different. My doll had a guitar and a tiny record player in her back. She came with little 'records' and one the record was on the player, she would strum the guitar and sing! I LOVED THAT DOLL! Is it the same doll or am I thinking of another toy?!

Your note here about the record disks rings a bell, but not necessarily with the doll I recall as Hello Dottie (though it may have been Hi Dottie). Mine came with two phones, one for me and one for the doll.

Hello, The doll with the guitar may be Harmony. She came with an amplifier that hooked into her back and played records. She was tall, with frosted hair, maroon sandals and a long pink dress. The amplifier was maroon and the records were little white plastic discs. They also had different outfits that you could purchase. She was made by Ideal and sells on Ebay.

Hi. I remember Hi Dottie...or I thought I did. I just looked on ebay for the Harmony doll and that could be her. I don't know if Dottie had an amplifier, and I think she actually "sang" with the records. I like that Harmony, though. I may have to get that to help my memory along...yea that's the ticket! LOL

I had Hi Dottie in the early seventies. I remember her well. She did NOT come with a guitar. She came with two telephones. She spoke little phrases.

I had Hi Dottie, she came with 2 phones, one you attached to her much harder arm and the other was pink and a soft plastic that you squeezed and there was a wire that connected both phones. I LOVED that doll! I can still remember the smell of that phone

I had both the Hi Dottie doll and the harmony doll.. She was really long and tall and had slip on sandals. On the Hi Dottie doll I even remember some of the things she said on the phone. "Whats your name and how are you?" "Your line was busy this morning, who were you talking to?"

I also had a Hi Dottie Doll, Yes she came with 2 phones, one for me and one for her. You ring the phone and she would say "Hello...What's you name and how are you?" Your line was busy today, who were you talking to?" She also said other phrases but I can't remember them all. She was lots of fun, I miss her and I miss my Mrs. Beasley too. )= Her hair was like a strawberry blonde and she had a hole in her hand to put her phone in there.

Hi everyone :) Yes!!! I loved Dottie, and like Dhristie said I too remember the candy-like smell on the phone hooked up to her for the child..it was soft and bigger than Dotties, squeezable. Dotties was small and made of hard plastic material. and as Lisa said..Dottie spoke those same short phrases. I adored Dottie she was very pretty and her hair was shiny long blonde with bangs. The box she came in was made to cut out in the fashion of an actual telephone booth, my younger sister destroyed mine while i would be at school :(. What a cute doll, she was my first wonder doll *smile*
