A black track that is put together in a oval shape. The cars look like they are getting gas when charging up.

The "Fat Track" was part of the "SIZZLERS" line up by Mattel.

Found an ad for this in Archie Comics dated Oct., 1971. The Fat Track was designed for racing more than just two cars. A complete track was oval-shaped with high turning ends. Track was three cars wide. A set, with two cars, retailed for ten to twelve dollars. Additional track pieces could be bought separately.
