Description
8 inch bird with feathers on head filled with red liquid at the bulbed end so that the bird would dunk his head into another glass without touching it!

You can still find these Dodo Birds in the blown glass shop at Holiday World amusement park in Santa Claus, Indiana.

These were great, hours of fun. We got ours at the museum of science and industry. So sad when they broke....

Another toy that is difficult to pinpoint on. There were multiple versions of "drinking bird" toys. One such, I had in 1970, came from the Edmund Scientific Co. of Barrington, N.J. (now out of business). I was unable to track which company made the Dunking Dodo. These must have been sold through a mail-order novelty company which included scientific toys.
