This toy was manufactured by playskool. It was a gragdoll with various pieces of clothing that you tied, buttoned,snapped and zippered. It taught you to do all of the above :)

The "boy's" version of this doll was called Dapper Dan. My brother got it for his birthday from my mom, and all of our cousins made fun of him for playing with a doll. It did teach him to zip, button, snap, etc. though!

I still have my Dressie Bessie doll!! For the exception of a missing shoelace, she's in perfect condition safely stored away with some of the other childhood toys I've saved.
