this was a toy that had templates, you had to change the template 3 times to get the final picture, you could draw a caveman....weight lifter and a hot wheels car.

I had one of these, mine drew horses. Can't think of the name and it is driving me crazy. Will go look down the basement to see if I still have it.

Found it. They where called Mattel Picture Maker and came in diffrent themes (Hot Wheels, Peanuts, etc.) the one I had was mattel 1971 barbie and dancer picture maker.

Rotodraw was by Kenner from 1969. One set had templates of different zoo animals.

We still have ours it draws peanuts characters.
