Description
Girls could make their own perfume with scent sticks you put in the perfume maker along with water and just a few cranks of the perfume maker. My favorite scent was Gardenia.

I had a Barbie Perfume Maker and I can't remember all of the fragrances. Strawberry, Lilac and Gardenia are all I can remember although there were five. An old picture I have shows one of the perfume bottles with a picture of lemons and limes. Was there a citrus scent also?
The lemon & lime was a fragrance called Spring Fresh. I have all 5 sticks but one is missing a sticker; Strawberry, Gardenia, Spring Fling, Lilac (missing sticker) & the 5th just says Barbie....maybe you could mix & make your own fragrance?
I HAD THE SAME BARBIE PERFUME MAKER I WOULD LOVE TO FIND ONE IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU.
Its funny i HATED Barbie Dolls my Sisters LOVED them, especialy my Sister Melissa.....HOWEVER.....i did have the barbie Perfum Maker which i just adored & loved.....if i close my eyes i can still smell it :-) i rember getting to put the Flower Stickers on the Perfume Bottles once u made the Perfume :-)
I too had the perfume maker. I can still smell the Gardenia scent. I played with that thing until it fell apart, as was the case with all my Barbies and accessories!
I had a perfume maker and loved the Gardenia scent. My daughter is 6 now and into perfume and lipgloss. I really wish they still made the perfume maker because I would love to give her one. I just know she would love crafting her own scents as much as I did!
"Santa" brought this for me on Christmas 1977...and oh my did I love it!! I was the absolute best barbie toy ever!! I can still remember the smell of the strawberry and gardenia. I didn't like the green on though..lol. I am looking on ebay every once in a while to see if there is on to buy..just to be 6 again :) I remember that year well..It as a great year for me, Santa also brought me the Donnie and Marie dolls and their stage! Wow what a flash back of a great childhood!
I had the perfume maker too. I think the 5th scent was my favorite 'tea rose'.
I remember giving all of my family members perfume that I made for Christmas one year. Unfortunately for them, I liked to "mix" the scents and create new ones. My dad wouldn't wear his....I don't know why?
