Description
Like Kool-Aid only had the sugar included. Made for some huge packages, but was far tastier than Kool-Aid!

I'm making an old recipe and it calls for 1 of the large pre-sweetened packages Wyler's Lemonade Mix. Can anyone tell me how many ounces was originally in the package? Thanks.

"Take a walk, take a walk - walk on over to Wylers', walk on over to a good, good feelin'... That's the commercial I remember from 1979 or 1980 - a family jogging on the beach... The song still periodically comes to my mind, for no reason!

They had fizzy soda pop flavors too. Rootbeer and orange were my favorites.

Does anyone else besides me remember Wyler crazy cow drinks? I saved labels & mailed in for cups w/lids in colors that matched the drink mix. Pink cups were supposed to be used w/ cherry mix, milk & shaken to get pink crazy cow drink.

Yes! I loved it. The noodles were square If I remember correctly. I rembervthe last time I bought some, it was in the late seventies. I was so happy this little store had it. Soon after the little store closed, after being there for years. Never found this soup again.

Wylers, a product of the Borden Company, started its vast line of drink and soup mixes in 1968. Found an animated TV commercial (a psychedelic one) for lemonade mix, as aired during the Saturday morning "Archie's Funhouse" program on CBS from 9/19/70.

On the Chicago scene: Found a 15-minute air check from WLS in June, 1975 with afternoon DJ Bob Sirott. A commercial for Wyler's with a country-western sound was included. Slogan was, "Walk on Over to Wyler's, Walk on Over to Taste." Sirott reads a promo from script. "Wyler's, more economical 'cause it's a powder. With Vitamin C." Other commercials were for Baby Ruth and Butterfinger bars, Sun-In hair colorant, Open Pit BBQ Sauce, Planters Nuts, Chicken Unlimited, Amtrak and Ideal's Baby Dreams doll. If you were a teen in Chicago, this is what you heard.

On the Chicago scene: Another Wyler's radio commercial, with a disco sound but same "walk over to Wyler's" slogan. This, from May, 1975 on WLS with Bob Sirott, who recently retired after a 45 year broadcasting career. Started on FM (1971), worked at WLS (1973-79), WTTW (PBS TV)and WMAQ TV. In 1993, WFLD TV replaced its morning cartoon block with "Fox Thing in the Morning" with Sirott and wife, Marianne, hosting for 11 years. He then replaced Walter Jacobsen (demoted following DUI arrest) as 9 O'clock news co-anchor until retirement. Other commercials on the WLS air check were for Playback, the Electronic Playground. Also, United Airlines, CTA, Gulliver's Restaurant, Stri-Dex acne wipes, and others.

From the prime time TV vault, four different animated Wyler commercials featuring the root beer and lemonade mixes. All were of psychedelic artistry. This aired on "That Girl" over ABC (6/25/71). After five seasons, "That Girl" left network TV, into syndication.

We used the pre-sweetened lemonade in Vietnam. It was worth it's weight in gold.

Does anyone know when they stopped making this? I seem to remember it still being around in the 80s
