Is it possible to still purchase Snickin Cake mixes. They were really good and easy to make. The banana Walnut cake was as good as a homemade cake. When iced with cool whip and garnisher with green or red cherries it made a lovely cake for a church dinner or family gathering. I would purchase this product if I knew where to find it.

My favorite was the chocolate chip

Were these the ones where the box converted into the pan you baked the cake in? I remember thinking those were so cool at the time--and no mess to clean up.

I think they came out with a microwave version. I remember making those. Nice when you didn't want to hassle with a huge cake.

It was great to fix when you had a slumber party or a friend sleeping over and wanted a quick late-night snack!

Snackin' Cake was reintroduced a few years ago but it came in a pouch so it didn't have the cardboard cake pan to bake it in. You still just had to add water though. I tried the banana and the yellow cake with chocolate chips and they tasted just as good as remembered. I was so excited to have them back then poof . . . they were gone again.

"You make Snackin' Cake with a pan and a fork and a spoon and a measuring cup / It's something special to eat / And nothing much to clean up."

I remember the commercial when the lady sang all the flavors. The memory is a bit sketchy but here goes: "Bananas and walnuts, or raisins and spice, apple and almond, and datenut is nice. Real pecans and coconut, plus 3 kinds of chocolate". Our favorite was always the chocolate chocolate. Yum!

There was also the recipe that came on the back of one of the flours that was called "Snackin Cake". Had a basic recipe and maybe 7 or 8 variations that could be made. Lost it in one of my moves and my kids were so disappointed. They could even make the cake. Does anyone have that recipe?
