Description
These came out in, what, '73? '74? They were an experimental flavor for the company--plain Doritos covered in sesame seeds like a hamburger bun. They didn't last very long, but were very crunchy.

I remember those and yes, they weren't around very long. I think they appeared 1975-77.

Please bring the Sesame Seed Doritos back and bring back the ORIGINAL TACO Doritos as well. The ones out now are garbage.

I remember these also. '75 - '76 sounds right. The bag was green. They were around for such a short period I thought maybe they were being test marketed and didn't pass the test.

We lived in the midwest at the time (I was about 9) and never saw the product on the shelves or saw a commercial for them on tv...but, we did receive a box one day from Frito-Lay that had a bag of Sesame Doritos in it. It had a form to fill out to give our opinion of the product. As I recall, we just ate the Doritos but didn't send in the opinion card. It's probably our fault that the midwest never saw this flavor of Doritos...just because we were too lazy to follow through.

I thought the bag was brown. (Green was for Sour Cream N Onion). My husband used to work for Frito-Lay and they were still making them for Latin/South America up until a few years ago. I remember them from my childhood ('76-'78) and used to beg him to get some sent to us!
