These Went Through a Big Change In The Late "70's" Early "80's" As The Florescent Dye Used To Make Them "SCREAMING" Yellow Had To Be Removed As "Toxic" In Large Amounts And A Possible Carcinogen.
I still see these around sometimes. I just love the name.
I used to eat these all the time. They tasted great!! I still get these at Walgreens.
SYZ got a mention on The Simpsons once while Homer was hallucinating!! lol FAR superior to "Fiddle Faddle" & "Crunch'N Munch"!
SYZ will always remind me of going to the "Disney Summer Hit Parade" in NYC as a kid. My mom hated paying concession stand prices at the movies, so before we got on the crosstown bus, we'd load up her "magic bag" w/ goodies including SYZ for me and Crunch and Much for her. Good times.
I love to tell people about these and they look at me like I am nuts..these were great. I liked the box they came in too, they had riddles and jokes on the outside with wild art work. they taste great too.
I love these! Even the jokes on the boxes were good!
