Memory's getting hazy now,but in the summer of '77 my mother started bringing home Sasparilla from Shop Rite.I came in 1 quart paper cartons and tasted like root beer without fizz.That summer, Sasparilla was the BOMB in our household,but when Summer ended so did it's availability in our area.Bummer.

Hey yeah I remember that! I use to drink it at my Grandparents when I was a kid. I had forgotten it till I read your description of the can.
