This was probably the best candy bar ever. It was a round disc of caramel, with peanut slices on top of the caramel, then the whole thing was dipped in chocolate. The caramel was thicker than the inside of a cadbury bar, but not too hard. They were so simple, but so good.

This was THE BEST candy bar EVER! The bar was named after Reggie Jackson, following his success during BOTH World Series of 1977 and 1978 and either MLB season altogether. There were actually TWO versions: the patty and a bar. The bar somehow lacked a certain something that the patty did in texture, I guess; it just didn't seem as good. But THE PATTY goes down in MY mind as my FAVORITE candy "bar" (it WASN'T a bar, of course) EVER. But it was short-lived - apparently, if memory serves, as a result of a dispute of some kind that involved the image of Reggie Jackson wearing a trademark New York Yankees uniform on the wrapper or between him and the Clark company over the cost of the use of his name. In the end, the company stopped producing the Reggie and it drifted into history and the memories of kids like me who lived during the reign of "Mr. October".
