Description
Best fried chicken (forget about KFC)! Their crunchy-crust was sooo good, you would eat parts of the chicken that most people toss! Remember the ol' chuck-wagon logo? There's actually a couple left in the LA area. And--the chicken is awesome the next norning COLD!

Oh, yeahhh. Back in 1979, there was a Pioneer's on Western Ave., just a few blocks north of Wilshire, within crawling distance of my apartment. Being a fried chicken addict my entire life, once I saw those screaming neon lights and the words "fried chicken", I was doomed. Better than the Colonel's? You bet...by a mile. Thank God, my ignorance about cholesterol hasn't killed me yet.
