Description
Quarter sized pastels candy covered in a powdery sugar substance. A pack of about 30 cost a nickel. Chocolate was my favorite!

I was able to find some of these at Wal-Mart a couple of years ago in a halloween treat size. I tried a roll and it brought back some many good memories that I went back on bought about 10 bags. I still have some in my desk draw at work. The flavors are amazing... clove, wintergreen, licorice, chocolate, lime and my fave... orange.
I bought these once at a mall. They still sell them, but I don't buy them anymore.
Technically not a food of the 70s, though of course available then. Necco Wafers have been for sale for well over 100 years.
We use to play church with them..them being the communion.
